Our Story
کنگن — worn close to the body. Given with love. Remembered always.
Kangan started the way most real things do — not with a business plan, but with a feeling.
We are a mother and daughter from Lahore. For years we watched Pakistani women settle for two options: fast fashion that falls apart after three washes, or formal wear too precious for a Tuesday. Nobody was making something in between — beautiful enough to feel special, practical enough to actually wear.
So we decided to make it ourselves.
Why کنگن?
A kangan is a bangle — worn at wrists, given at milestones, passed between generations. It is one of the oldest symbols of South Asian femininity. We named our brand after it because we want to make clothing that feels the same way: chosen with intention, worn with joy, kept with meaning.
Not fast fashion. Not occasion wear. Something in between — and better than both.
Vol. I
Our first collection is six printed lawn co-ord sets. Each one is named, each one is limited. The prints are deliberate. The fabric is lightweight enough for Lahore summers. The fit is relaxed — designed to move with you, not against you.
Once a piece sells out, it does not come back. Vol. II is already in progress.
Made in Pakistan
Everything we make is designed and produced in Pakistan. We believe Pakistani craftsmanship and textiles are world-class — they just haven't always been packaged that way. Kangan is our attempt to change that, one collection at a time.
